  • Totally King Astor’s expression as he sits on a throne in the human kingdom, listening to all the humans gossiping. 

  • Recently arrived, Queen Elodie goes to her suites but is intercepted by Lord Gideon. Before she enters her rooms, he warns her that the King’s mistress was seen heading in the same direction and asks if she’s prepared. Elodie assures him that she is but when all the other ladies bow at Lady V’s entrance a nervous queen Elodie can’t help but do the same. Slowly, Lady Vittoria approaches the small blonde and sighs, “You must be our new queen." 

    "Yes.” Elodie answers softly. “I am.”

  • I wonder if Astor would ever outright TELL Elodie that he’s not gonna force himself on her? Like, once they start getting closer and she shows nerves about him joining her in bed?

  • I use this actress a lot for Queen Elodie but this scene reminds me more of Queen Marigold? Like, a present from King Astor arrives unexpectedly and she’s surprised/curious about it? And it’s so thought out and sweet and stuff. I can just picture Percy watching her open it in the same room and kind of gaping because it’s such a fine piece of jewelry. And she just smiles gently and asks her servant to fetch her some paper, “I must write a thank you letter to my gracious son." 

  • After the letter incident? I’ve always wondered how exactly Elodie and Astor discuss the fact that she has to go back to the human kingdom for a bit.

  • Lounging – Waiting for V vs Lounging – Waiting for Elodie

  • I had an instant daydream when I saw this, imagining Astor brooding about how grim his job opportunities would be even if he graduated from Aevum? (Probably because Berk was being a huge jerk at the time.) Elodie said something hopeful and Astor kind of, not malicious but a bit huffy, asked if she really thought people would give him a chance when they were too busy being terrified of him? And she replied, “I think that you’re not the type of person to let people decide what you’re going to do with your life. A.K. Dulani controls his own destiny.” And it just made he smirky smile and it was cute. The end.
