  • IDK HOW-situation in which King Astor has to deal with a very sick little Princess Marigold by himself because the Queen isn’t there? He’s just totally beside himself with worry, keeping watch over her bed until the fever breaks and she wakes him up by patting her worried daddy’s forehead. 

  • I imagined this taking place before theyr’e super romantic, but once they’re getting close. Maybe they’re taking tea together and it’s clear he has a lot on his mind? So she starts talking about something amusing, or pleasing and his face just goes from typical King Astor face to like this pleased smirk that results in her own expression totally GLOWING.

  • King Astor growing super fond of his sweet mother in law?

  • He says something that sends her walking off in a somewhat upset mood and FOR ONCE he realizes that he’s said something hurtful so he catches up to apologize? But he doesn’t know HOW to apologize so he just kind of looks at her; they EYE-APOLOGIZE/FLIRT for a bit and then just lean in for a kiss w/o any explanation?

  • King Astor not being able to stand another second of a meeting and interrupting the thing to go and smooch his babies. 

  • I can totally imagine this scenario happening like… IDK Elodie is just trying to get one quiet moment away from a hectic student council? Or Cal? And she runs into Astor in the hall while dodging them? He notices her panicked look, her “PLEASE HELP ME.” stare and just kind of tucks her into a corner and hides her? But long after the danger has passed he can’t help but linger because she’s so close and warm, her scent strong on his nostrils and her little heart fluttering against him.

  • In which Sir Valerian takes a moment to say something mean or snarky about King Astor to Queen Elodie (or perhaps to flirt with her) + In which King Astor is having none of that BS and pops up, then very politely escorts his pretty wife away.

  • King Percival and Queen Elodie take off to look at something random, leaving King Astor and Queen Marigold in each other’s pleasant company~
