I have this daydream in my head, like a notion of Lady Marigold having to go to King Percival’s court and defend before all the nobles of the land her adoptive son? Argue that he is safe and good and bright and needn’t be feared – with Percy adding at the end (slight chuckle included) “Unless they mean to harm you, my lady.”
I have a little blip for this, for GoT Adoption? It’s when Elodie has first been taken in by King Percival into his household, but she isn’t especially accepted or well-treated. There are fears that he means to marry her to some lord to make him the heir or (gasp) make her the heir herself. She’s considered an outsider in a lot of ways, is treated as such and I feel that in that sense she becomes quite shy at first.
But when he and Elodie pay a visit to Lady Marigold’s castle (possibly shortly before Astor begins to officially live with Percy for a little bit?) she hears the rumors about Lady Marigold’s own ward and is very curious about him. So she follows them around, ducking behind columns every time that Astor turns to look her way. Percival chuckles that she’s at a shy age, etc. Marigold talks about how Astor was once shy too – but he’s growing up to be such a confident young man. PROBABLY PATTING HIS CHEEK AS SHE SAYS THIS because she loves her boy. The adults wander a bit ahead, leaving the kids behind – Astor undoubtedly having heard the mean things said about Elodie steps out of his comfort zone, just for a second, and takes her to a beautiful room in Marigold’s home. Just to give her a moment of happiness. It makes an impression on her for a long time and obvs is the start of her crush on him.
– I’m gonna rip out your fucking heart.
– Yeah.
I had a daydream for this where Berk somehow manages to get Astor’s number? During Accidental Revolution AU? And he calls Astor mocking him for starting “this, over little ole me.” And Astor is just FURIOUS like – this is the man that caused Marigold’s injuries and he’s hearing his voice for the first time since that incident and it’s just awful.

I had this daydream once, for Little Witch? Where The Dark One gives her this cloak with his match like threaded throughout. In the night it glittered, warning away all demons that dared to approach the little being as she wandered about.
Sometimes I have daydreams of what might have happened if Elodie had grown up in the labs, been treated terribly by Berk/others and still somehow ended up with the Chases? Like when you metnioned (for the Marauders AU where Astor is Percy and Marigold’s friend?) Astor meeting the Chase’s new daughter when she’s Aevum age? And I always picture her like…way more emotionally closed off, really quite sad. And while Percy and Marigold are assuring her it’s gonna be okay and dw you’ll be safe she’s just like : /

Like…how her life was so full of finding ways to occupy her time so that she didn’t feel so stifled? But she was always forced to mistrust everyone and be wary because of her father? And it all changed when baby Astor comes into her life~
