In Adoption AU, somehow Berkovic manages to spirit away a drugged Astor. Takes him to his last lab that is being maintained by anti-shedim people for experimentation, maybe just to slice him up and study him. Once Marigold comes to and finds out where they’re keeping Astor she just charges in to get her boy back. I MEAN OF COURSE SHE CALLED THE POLICE AND STUFF but she wasn’t going to wait for them she just charges in all beautiful and seemingly helpless and kicks BUTT AFTER BUTT until the very end where she threatens berk himself with the nail gun until he agrees to lead her to where Astor is.
I KNOW IT’S DUMB BUT I LIKE MARIGOLD KICKING BUTT TOO. Oh but poor Astor, waking up strapped to an experimental table in a bright room where the lights are always on so he can’t sleep? Wondering where his mum is until he spots her bursting through the double doors.
