This could be legit, KoD washing up before Elodie gets there so she doesn’t see the blood? Especially early on when he’s not as blase about the killing needed to maintain his cover. Or also jailtime Astor being allowed to bathe and trying to hurt himself :c OR like, post war and just imagining the blood on his hands when he showers but there’s nothing actually there.
