JFLDK;SAJ I’M SO GLAD I SAW THIS because I had a sad daydream of more or less this speech happening during Astor’s Jail term, while Elodie is visiting? And that’s the reason she left? Or even him saying it after he’s out of jail but going through a bad guilty spell? And, duh, he doesn’t MEAN it but it still gets said and it’s just painful and sad? JFDL;KSAJ SOBS but IDK if he actually ever would or feels even remotely like this. It was just a sad dream.
