IDK if you remember that in Offering there was that period where a bunch of villagers were hella suspicious of the babies and wanted to burn them alive for being the spawn of a demon. But this made me think of that.

I know the gown isn’t like, Vampire Kingdom style? But It’s dark and she looks…kind of like serious for a sweet little blonde thing? And that’s how I imagine her appearing to other humans/Marigold and Percy? Like she left them this shy and unsure baby and then they get to the vamp kingdom and she looks regal, poised, elegant, like her servants following her with respect. Even the guards like all standing at attention and ready to attend to her.

I keep imagining Dark Forest Astor getting jealous if he finds out Elodie had an afternoon with someone, esp if it’s douchey Cal. She’s talking about how pretty the gardens or whatever were and Astor jealously asks if she told her date about the beauty of the dark forest he’s shown her?

Just like the idea of Astor smooching Elodie behind the ear or along her neck. And the way it like makes her SHIVER while at the same time feel incredibly safe? I can definitely see it happening in like, Captured Princess AU? King Astor tucking her in but risking that kiss and her clearly titillated by it but still not ready to reciprocate.

I like the idea of King Astor building his adoptive mum a beautiful castle near the Vampire kingdom? So that she can be near him even when she’s with her (DUMB, ASTOR HATES HIM NOW) husband. Though obviously he prefers to have his mum in the proper vampire castle, all bundled and warm. C:
