Randomly tacking on thoughts to this adoraaaaaable queue post (which gave me post-war, Astor’s moved in with Elodie and they’re just sitting there basking in the happy glow of their reunion feels):
So, I think that the ‘madness’ that set in when they were separated during the war and her own emotional baggage from feeling like she failed him contributes a lot to how she can’t forget him after the war, how he needs to watch over her and make sure she’s safe and how much they need each other’s company once they reunite. I mean yes, there’s the mate bond and he needs to be around her. But beyond that they just genuinely appreciate every little moment with one another as well as their family. And that’s sweet. They’re -that- couple and -those- parents whose bond was tested so strongly in the beginning that they’re really wonderfully united now and the kids can come to them for anything and not worry because they have two strong parents who’ll see them through thick and thin.
Lulz okay it’s like 1am I need to go to sleep but yeah 8D You’ll see this in the morning ~thumbs up~
