I had an instant daydream when I saw this, imagining Astor brooding about how grim his job opportunities would be even if he graduated from Aevum? (Probably because Berk was being a huge jerk at the time.) Elodie said something hopeful and Astor kind of, not malicious but a bit huffy, asked if she really thought people would give him a chance when they were too busy being terrified of him? And she replied, “I think that you’re not the type of person to let people decide what you’re going to do with your life. A.K. Dulani controls his own destiny.” And it just made he smirky smile and it was cute. The end.
