Tag: Princess Marigold

  • I have this whole headcanon that a powerful wizard prince sends an ambassador to the vamp kingdom to scout for a potential bride in little Marigold? Having heard that she is the ideal wife, sweet and demure and stuff? And I WISH I could write because like I have this FEEl for the letter he gets back from the ambassador? About how like, “the Princess is everything pretty in the world – her grace and beauty beyond compare. She outshines even her mother in her loveliness and sweetness. But be warned, my Prince. This is the true daughter of King Astor and of the vampire kingdom. Beneath the silk, I believe there lies steel.” And just all about how like…EVEN THE VAMPS KNOW that their Princess is a sweet, smiling, giggling creature but you don’t mess with her? At least not once she’s ROUNDED OUT puberty. Not just because her father and brother and mother and grandparents will defend her, but because she can hold her own. She has wit and fierceness and strength from her father just as she has all of Elodie’s beauty and kindness. Like the vamps just accepting her as their princess and acknowledging that she might look human but that is a vampiress through and through. Sob.

can you imagine king alistair being in a meeting with his advisors and the whole court and his little child is just running around throwing things and playing with wooden swords and occasionally getting up on Alistair’s lap and flipping through important documents and drawing pictures on them and the nobles are horror-stricken, but alistair just keeps talking about the matters they need to attend to while his offspring scales his shoulders

I like to imagine him asking, “Any questions?” at an important meeting and the kid responds with baby babble and he listens intently and nods, with his chin resting on his fist and saying something like, “Ah, yes, a valid point” while his advisers sit there all dumbstruck.

    Happy Mother’s Day

Imagine Astor like going to the nursery to find his kids and Bryce is there, sleeping like an angel? But where is little Marigold?! He doesn’t even bother ASKING just starts hunting down her scent – maybe the first time he hasn’t known exactly where he is and the panic slowly rises until he hears a soft giggle and a coo. Finally thinks to enter his own bedchambers, where his lovely wife is on the floor fitting a new dress onto their daughter. “Something wrong, my King?” Elodie would ask – but no, so long as his two girls are safe there is nothing wrong.
