(Check this out though like aside from the fact that Astor is very much capable with a sword? This is so good. Like the half confident half girlishly assertion of her, not wanting him to be hurt and stopping just shy of saying I love you but saying it anyway?)

^{sshhhhhh, i know Henry was not a warrior-king but scenes with him in armor were the only ones i could use *sigh* But, even if with no sword in his hand, by being at Stoke Field, he risked his life, so let’s pretend this gifset happens when Henry’s army goes to fight Lambert Simnel’s one, on 16 June at the Battle of Stoke Field.
[ i like to think that their separation during this campaign against the pretender Simnel was a pivotal moment for their relationship —after Arthur’s birth, one year after their wedding— where they realized some sort of feelings for each other (not necessarly love already but clearly affection, and the unexpected fear to never see the face of the other one again) ]}

(The commentary in brackets above makes me think of when he goes to rescue Percy and Marigold from the wolves? That spark of feelings and fear for Elodie that she might not see Astor again? )
