Imagine Astor like…interrupting or Saving Elodie from a dangerous situation? One in which she was very vulnerable? And the … image of her so frightened and small and cold like triggers something in Astor that makes him seem / act more feral? But once the danger has mostly passed (though he still presumably has to go like either chase the person away or end them?) there’s this brief period where he drapes his cloak over her and murmurs for her to stay there. She reaches her hand out for him and asks him not to leave but he assures her he’ll be back?
If it’s in Servant’s obvs it’d probably be another vamp almost hurting Elodie and if it’s in BD OBVS another demon or a witch etc.

Headcanon for this image is GoT Adoption Lady Marigold walking in on King Astor having dinner with some vampire ladies that he totally plans on banging later that night? And her just casually unseating one of them so she can sit next to her son. But instead of the reaction image shown here he’s just like mildly amused because it’s his mum and she can do that.

First I obviously thought of Astor giving Elodie flowers? But then I imagined like a baby Astor in Adoption AU picking flowers for his mum in the school garden but seeing the other boys and girls giving their moms like fancy teddy bears or whatever that their dads buy for them to give. And suddenly his flowers don’t feel like enough.
