  • Something about the dark and broody nature of this gives me a lot of Lord Death or Dark Forest AU feels? Or even Starry Temple like just…watching her from close yet somehow far?

  • Except for the “and she destroyed them all” part this is v accurate for Dark Forest AU.

    He shook his head, stepping closer. “No. You did nothing to offend.”

    “Then why do you hide when I’m near?”

    “Because you are like the sun. You blind me. And send all my shadows far, far away.”

  • I have a little headcanon that Astor’s name is so old and ancient that no one even knows it, in the Dark Forest. They just call him The Dark One or idk like He Who Rules The Shadows etc? Like he hasn’t given it to anyone until the day he gives it to Elodie. And she’d like…smile at him and tell him that she will treasure it forever? He’d maybe chuckle or joke about how now she knows him. And she’d touch his hand so gently and murmur that “I knew you long before you gave me your name.”
