If Marigold had survived the second war (or in some  AU where it never happened) can you imagine if Astor got a call that Marigold was taken to the hospital? How he’d rush over there and immediately fuss and make a thing about getting her the best care? 

(IGNORE DR. OCTOPUS’S NAME. In this show the guy is only marrying the woman’s daughter because he got her accidentally pregnant. But he becomes genuinely fond of his mother in law to the point of continuing to see/look out for her even after the relationship doesn’t pan out. He gets like a contented thrill from being able to call her mom and eats her food and just dotes on her and it reminded me so much of Astor x Marigold.)
