Astor will have to cope with the sense that he’s not good enough for her because of his lost title/honor. Esp with moments where Elodie, being good hearted and kind of naive to certain things? Might receive gifts from potential suitors and fancy them (the gifts) – accidentally implying she likes the men in question and setting herself up as a fox to be hunted. And to look (in Astor’s eyes) like she’s slipping further away from him.
